The students over at the new Marsh Creek 6th Grade Center in Downingtown Area School District have been putting their artistic skills to work. A few weeks ago we were asked if we were interested in displaying artwork done by local students in our office. Of course, we said, "Absolutely!!"
Mrs. Marsden was very excited to bring us several lovely pieces done by her students, and we could not wait to get them on our walls. They are not only adding color to our lobby, but are also rather inspiring. The assignment asked students to examine who they are as individuals, community members, and as agents of change. Each piece is accompanied by a QR code that you can scan to learn more about the artwork and the artist. After scanning the code, you are brought to a page where you can hear the student actually explaining their piece in their own words. It is truly adorable.
We welcome anyone who is interested to stop in and check them out. If you are another local business and interested in displaying a few at your workplace, we believe they are still looking for more businesses to participate.
This holiday season, take a moment to relax and examine yourself. What kind of individual, community member, and agent of change are you?
