Life- Altering Challenges You Need to Try!

It’s strange how days, weeks, months and even years seem to fly by right before our eyes. Many of us have dreams, goals, and ambitions but we get into a daily routine that makes it hard for us to integrate new habits into our lives, or rid ourselves of old ones. Miller’s wants to help you lead the best life you can possibly live, which is why we’ve compiled a list of life-altering 30 day challenges.

Maybe you want to quit smoking, become a runner, put down the junk food, or strengthen your relationships; whatever the case may be, we’re here to help! It’s much easier to break a bad habit when you replace it with a good one, so take a look at the list below and swap out your guilty pleasure for a life-changing routine.

Write a Letter

Think about it, when’s the last time you received a hand-written letter? With text, email, and skype stealing our attention you probably can’t even remember. This is a very traditional and thoughtful way to tell someone how much they mean to you. Make a list of important people in your life, buy some envelopes and stamps, and get to writing!

Take a Walk

With Spring right around the corner, this is a perfect challenge to implement. Take a 30 minute walk outside each day enjoying the weather, sights, and sounds of nature. Bring along your spouse, son, daughter, dog, or neighbor and appreciate the conversation you’ll have. This is a great way to unwind and burn some calories in the meantime.

Do a Good Deed

It feels good to do good, so make a challenge out of it! Pay for the order behind you when you’re in line at the drive thru, pay a visit to a nearby nursing home and chat with a few elderly men and women, or make a double-batch of a freezable dinner and give it to someone in need. Remember, you get extra karma points if you do a good deed and don’t tell anyone about it.

Read Daily

Replace one hour, or even just a half hour a day of TV watching with reading. You can either find a quiet place to enjoy your time alone, or you can make it a family event and read with your kids. Maybe you’ll want to get a few friends or neighbors involved and start up a book club. However you decide to go about this, it’s a terrific hobby and an awesome way to beat boredom.

Be Productive 

For 30 days, vow to put an end to procrastination. Make a daily to-do list and actually DO IT. Don’t put things off for another hour, day, or month. Not only will you be amazed by how much you get done, but you’ll feel extremely accomplished.

While these challenges may seem easy, they are in fact quite challenging. But it’s important to keep in mind that anything worth having doesn’t come easy. If you’ve been eager for some change in your life, or you simply want to try something new then give one of the above tactics a whirl. The next month come and go in the blink of an eye; make it count!
