Background

Betsy joined the Employee Benefits Department at Miller's in 2011. As an Aetna representative, Betsy was honored as the leading National Medicare Representative in 1996 for Aetna and US Healthcare.

In 1997, she transitioned that experience to Independence Blue Cross. In one year she became the leading representative, working with the senior population and the local governments in the five-county area (Pa.). In 2003, Betsy was promoted to Commercial Account Executive. Her ability to develop rapport with group owners and her knowledge of the group and Medicare business brought her recognition in sales and business expansion. Betsy evolved into a consulting roll in 2009.  Transitioning to Brown and Brown Insurance as an Employee Benefits broker, she  was named "Top Gun" in two months time.

Betsy’s model is to always put the customer FIRST. She has never lost a client, many in the middle market segment, who have benefited from strategic planning and analysis, service and education.

Betsy is an avid marathon runner and enjoys running with Philly Hash House Harriers. Betsy has won awards from the Crohns and Colitis for her initiation and directorship of a 5K run in Philadelphia which brought national attention for children with IBD.
